Problem with RICHED20.DLL

edited July 2001 in General
Hi, I want to use the ppRichText control but I get this error:
Initialization of the dynamic link library C:\WINNT\System32\RICHED20.DLL
failed.
The process is terminating abnormally.

I don't get it however when I run your demo.

TIA, Darin

What version of Delphi/Windows/RB are you using? When does the error occur?
Could you provide some more information? Is this a reproduceable error?
Did you get any AV's during your current session, before this error showed
up? This dll is a windows supplied dll and other applications such as
notepad use it. Perhaps some other application was using it and is having
some trouble? Shutdown windows and start again and try to reproduce the
error with the least amount of steps possible.

    > What version of Delphi/Windows/RB are you using?
    Delphi 4,
    Windows NT 4.00.1381 sp5,
    ReportBuilder 5.56,
    InfoPower 4.04 - 7/30/99

When the Infopower TwwDBRichEdit has been placed on the form.
More precisely when the "wwriched" file is included in the interface use
    section.
So, even when I would delete the TwwDBRichEdit component from the form I
would still get the error. Once I started deleting the include file name as
    well I was ok.

I don't get the error with the TRichEdit component so I will use it.

If you would, try and duplicate this either with my particular version of
    InfoPower or the newest one.

    I'm using InfoPower 2000 on D5 and RB5.56, Win2000.

I successfully included our ppWWRichEd in the project and without. Also,
you said that you couldn't place a TwwDBRichEd on the form and run the
project? I was able to do all this in D5. I don't have Infopower 2000 for
    D4 so I couldn't try it on D4.

I will suggest upgrading your version of Infopower and Delphi.
