Sort an field which contains characters and numbers

Is there any function or example whitin the reportbuilder available to sort a field with both characters and numbers. eg.

A1
A10
A2
B1
12SP
2SP

into

A1
A2
B1
2SP
12SP

ReportBuilder will generally not sort the data for you, this is something that will need to be done in your query either using SQL, stored proc, or a summary query.
