data selection dialog
We have a customized data selection dialog in our product, and I have
seen that on some reports, clicking cancel when the dialog presents
will provoke an error. Tracing into it, it appears that validation of
the criteria is running, even on cancel. Given the structure of the
dialog from which we inherit, I am wondering if there's something that
was missed when custom descendent was coded? Since this is in a product
which came to us through acquisition, I have not had the benefit of
being involved during its creation, so pardon me if the answer should
be obvious -- it's not, to me.

We're going to need more information on how this custom dialog works to
track down the issue. How exactly is it selecting data? Which parts of
ReportBuilder is it utilizing to do so? What happens when the cancel button
is selected? When you trace the error, where in the RB source is the
problem occuring?
