How to make a pdf-file searchable

edited April 2011 in Devices
Hi,

I searched the NG's and the manual but couldn't find any information:

Using version 11.06 and Delphi 2010: is it possible to make a pdf
searchable when it's printed by ReportBuilder?

I found a property "Keywords", but no explanation in the manual.

Thanks. Uli

    Hi Uli,

The Keywords property allows the user to select key words to describe
the document if it is searched for (on-line perhaps). This property is
part of the information dictionary or metadata of the document and can
be viewed in the properties of the document (in Acrobat).

Searching within a PDF document should function as designed.

    Nico,

    Thank you for this information.

Actually it does. (I am using Foxit-Reader). But there is only a very
small underline of the found word, so I didn't see it.

From other posts I realized that there is a fix for that (I just
    updated to version 11.08).

Can I download this fix? Or do I need an upgrade generally?

    Thanks Uli

    Hi Uli,

I just sent the highlighting patch for RB 11.08 to you.

We hope in the future you will consider upgrading your version of
ReportBuilder to the latest (RB 12). See the following web site for
some of the powerful new features available.
