Report Data Settings

I have the single application at two distinct, unconnected sites.
Frequently the databases of the first site are copied and replace the
second site.
The second site is purely for reference and report generation ( it is
essentially my development site ).
My problem is that when report data is created on the primary site, the
connection details are hard coded. The development site has no access to
these connections.
How can I access the data on the development site to edit the database
connection settings ?

Edited the project and set cReport = 3
//if plItem['Item_Type'] = Ord(cReport) then
List box is populated with data.
Edit as required and Save
