Problems when using autosearch variables and email output repeatedly

We have a report which shows client data, one client per page, but you can
also choose only one client by using the AutoSearchDialog window (client
names listed as parameters), the information per client is also dependent on
a date interval e.g 2010.07.31 til 2010.09.30. When specifying a particular
client we may want to email the data to the client.

Lets say we want to do this for 10 clients and we specify each of them from
the paramter list and also the date interval. When sending the first email,
we push the "magnifying glass" to reopen the AutoSearchDialog window and
choose the next client (the entered date interval is remebered from last
time - and this is what we want) then the preview window reopens sometimes
with the correct data for the new client and sometimes not. Furthermore -
when pushing the email button, the AutoSearchDialog window reapear and when
pushing "ok" a "outlook express mail" window apears.

We have seen this behaviour on all our reports (they work well when running
them once and then printing or emailing), also in RB ver 10.07 and all
11.0x.

Is there anything we need to reset in any event or do you know of any bug
regarding this issue?

Hi Hans,

Which exact version of ReportBuilder are you using? The issue with
re-showing the autosearch dialog when emailing was fixed for RB 11.08.

In order to track down the issue with the wrong data displaying for an
autosearch value, we would need to see an example we can run on our
machines. If possible, please send a simple example perhaps using the
DBDemos database that demonstrates the problem in .zip format to
support@digital-metaphors.com and we'll take a look at it for you.

Sorry, I just saw towards the bottom of your message where you say that you
are using RB 11.08. When sending an email from RB 11.08, the AutoSearch
dialog is automatically hidden. I do not see how it is possible that it is
displaying. I would still like to see an example of both of these issues if
possible.

I also recommend downloading a trial copy of RB 12 and testing with that to
see if it perhaps solves the issues.
