CrossTab on Advanced Component tool bar?

edited March 2010 in End User
Hi,

I must be missing something simple here, but how do I get CrossTab to
show up on the Advanced Component tool bar in the end user report designer??

We are using RB Enterprise v11.06, Delphi7, MSSQL Server 2008

Thanks!
Mark

    Hi Mark,

Are you certain you have RB Enterprise installed? The only reason the
CrossTab component wouldn't be present would be that you are using the
    Standard version of ReportBuilder.

I would suggest re-installing ReportBuilder on your machine. This will give
you a good excuse to upgrade your version to RB 11.08 as well :). Contact
    info@digital-metaphors.com for upgrade instructions.

    Hi Nico,

    Thanks for the quick response.

Yes, I am sure we have RB Enterprise installed.

I think I figured out what is going on. I wrote this end-user report
builder app years ago (probably before CrossTabs was even available),
and after digging around a bit, I discovered that if I add the ppCTMain
unit to my uses clause, then then CrossTab shows up in Advanced
Components. Is that all that is needed? or is there more to it?

    Hi Mark,

Ah... yes, I did not realize this was a runtime issue. Sorry, I must be a
    little slow this morning :).

For the end-user designer, there are certain files that need to be added to
the uses clause to register certain features. You're actually going to want
to add ppCTDsgn to the uses clause rather than ppCTMain. See the following
    article.
