When I cancel a 'merge' it duplicates the existing one(s).

When I try to delete them I get a AV.

This was a bug. There is a patch available that fixes the problem. Please
send an email to support@digital-metaphors.com. If you are using RB 7, we
can send you the patch to fix the problem at runtime until the next
maintenance release which will fix it at design time and at runtime.
