Dataset with Parameters

I posted a question before regarding costomized master-detail relationships.


Your answer to this question was that it is not possible using DADE.

I decided to use 2 ADODatasets for the above with the child dataset having a
parameter which gets its value from the parent dataset. Then, using
DBPipelines I managed to get the report I was after by designing the report
on a TppReport component. However, when I design the same report using an
end-user report and I run the report, I find that the report generates and
endless loop of pages, with the parent dataset being stuck on the first row.

All my other reports using DADE are still working fine.

Any ideas?

Make sure that the report is connected to the datapipeline. In the end user
designer, use the Report | Data... menu to set this to the pipeline on the
form. You'll also have to set this inside of each detail subreport
workspace.
