Problem with Faxing

I need to create tiff at 200 x 200 resolution so my fax software will work.
I am using KDTools for faxing. It throus an error that the fax image is not
1728 x 2200. I need to produce a tiff file of 1728 by 2200. I get various
results. All 1728 by some quantity

Example 1728 x 2236
1728 x 2174

What setting do I make to make exactly 1728 by 2200?

Hi Rick,

Looking at our previous correspondence, I believe we have covered this
before. Below is an excerpt from a previous email I sent in June.

The reason the height of the file is more than 2200 is that ReportBuilder
does not have a concept of separate axis scaling for graphics devices
(Image/Screen). Manually setting the width of the bitmap to 1728 gives you
1728 pixels/8.5 inches = 203.29 ppi. Since the pixels are square, the ppi
needs to be the same in the “y” direction as well giving 203.29ppi * 11
inches = 2236 pixel height which is what you are getting.

If you absolutely must have a 2200 pixel image height, you will need to
adjust the paper height of your report to give you this value. For
instance, if you select a custom paper with a height of 10.822 inches, the
exported Tiff file will be 1728x2200.

In trying to get this to work, I find that setting the papersize to
10.994 gives me 2199 and 10.995 gives me 2201
neither of which will work with my fax component.

Setting the height to 10.822 gives me 2165

Any other ideas?

Hi Rick,

Are you using Letter sized paper (8.5 x 11 in)? If not, the numbers will be
different. If it is always possible to use a more precise number as the
paper height either by making it accurate to another decimal or using a
smaller unit (microns perhaps).

In testing on my machine, the numbers I gave produce a TIFF image with the
correct size.
