Duplicating data pipelines in TppDBText properties

edited March 2010 in General
In our application, in some circumstances, all visible pipelines on a form
get duplicated in the list of data sources associated with a data-aware
control in the designer.

I create the designer in code, but I can't see any way to re-initialise or
refresh the list of datasources associated with it. Is there any way to do
this?

TIA

    Hi Roger,

We have not seen this behavior before. Which version of ReportBuilder and
Delphi are you using? What steps can I take here to recreate the behavior
you mention on my machine? By design, the DataPipeline field should update
each time the DBText is clicked.

    Hi Nico,

We are using Delphi 7, RB 11.06.

I am not sure I have explained correctly. It is not that the DataPipeline
property of the control (ppDBText or other) is changed. It is that, when I
select the control, and open the combo box to assign a pipeline to it, the
pipelines on the Delphi form are sometimes duplicated in the combo box list.

This error has been happening intermittently on our apps for years, so if
you have never seen it before then it must be that we are doing something
wrong. If you can just confirm that you understood what I was explaining,
then I will try to create a simple app which reproduces the problem.

turned up in your personal email).

    Hi Roger,

Thanks for the clarification. Please send the example in .zip format to
support@digital-metaphors.com and I'll take a look at it for you.
