Data Tree on Design Tab

edited May 2011 in End User
Hello,

We have a situation where a User un-docked the data tree and it has now
subsequently just disappeared. The option under "toolbars" is still
enabled but the tree is not coming forward or for some reason will not
redisplay itself.

Any ideas on fixing this? Can these menus somehow be reset to the default
settings?

Thank you so much for your assistance

Kevin

    Hi Kevin,

Try having the user delete their RBuilder.ini file and restart the
application. The RBuilder.ini file is stored in the location you
defined in the Designer or by default in the
    \Users\\AppData\RBuilder\... directory.

I work with Kevin and as per the suggestion we had the customer do a search
and destroy on all rbuilder.ini files. The problem still exists. I might add
however that the datatree box does show up its just not populated. And
sometimes they can go into a report and it shows up and then they go into a
different report and the box shows with no information. Once this happens no
matter what report you go into its just a blank box. When disabling via
View, Toolbars it disappears as it should but when reenabling it still comes
    back blank

    Hi Dennis,

In Kevin's previous post, he states that the DataTree is not visible or
is hidden from view. It does look like that issue has been resolved,
    correct?

If the DataTree is visible but empty, it is likely that the report is
not connected to any data. Be sure the report is connected to a
pipeline using the Report | Data... menu option or the
    Report.DataPipeline property.

For future reference, please state the version of ReportBuilder and
Delphi you are using so we can get an idea how your environment is set up.
