  Try downloading a new mousedriver.
  
  There is no problem with IntelliPoint mouse with the latest mousedriver
  from MS.

  I've noticed the same behavior. Using a Intellipoint 3.1 driver it doesn't
  work, but using the latest from MS download page, it does work.

  I am actually not using a microsoft mouse. I am using the Logitech Cordless
  Optical mouse. Do you still think it's a mouse driver problem? All other
  applications seem to behave as I would expect with relation to the
  mousewheel...just having problems with the ReportBuilder preview window.
