Saving report format to a file incompatible with inheritance

Question Before I Buy:

Can I have a standard ReportBuilder component which has basic details on the
report like placement of company name, page number, etc which I can inherit
from to produce my final report?

Can I then save the format of the final report? Or does the fact that the it
is inherited from my 'standard' ReportBuilder component stuff it up?

    You can't mix form inheritance with report templates. One alternative is to
    dynamically load subreports. There is a demo of this in your
    ../RBuilder/Demos/EndUser/DynamicSubreportLoading/ For instance, load a
    subreport in the header band which contains company information, which will
    contain information such as your company logo. What if the company logo
    changes? If all of the reports load the 'company info subreport' in the
    header, then you can change the logo in the subreport definition. Now, the
    new logo will appear in the headers of all of the company's reports.
