Rotated text does not export to Excel correctly

I am using Report Builder 19.02 Build 243 and Delphi 10, Seattle.

In a report I have labels in the header which are rotated with an angle of 270. This works on screen preview and when exporting the report to PDF. It does not work as expected when printing to Xlsx data file. When I open the generated file in Excel, the rotated label fields are rotated, but at something like 30 or 60 degrees.

Based on earlier discussions in the forum, I turned autosize off, and it makes no difference.

How can I make this work?

Thanks,
Phil Horst

  • Hi Phil,

I researched this and for Angles <= 90 it is working. For Angles > 90, Excel calculates the rotation along the vertical axis, rather than horizontal, and in the opposite direction. Simple  I created a patch for RB 19.03, registered customers can email support@ and request the patch. (I verified your license and emailed it to you.)
