  • I had once a report printing on X pages (with X>300 pages)instead of 1. It
    worked most of the time (more thant 99% of the time on Y PCs). It was due to
    the way the prinre config was (incorrectly set).
    look into the where you choos…

  • Hi Burkhard,

    unfortunately, no. There is only the end-user help file in German available.

    regards,
    Chris Ueberall;

  • Sorry - didn't see the RAP group - will use in future.

    In the end, I created a passthru function, but will take a look at the
    adding of classes/properties.

    Thanks.

  • Hi Martyn,

    (please use the RAP group, thankyou)
    see 'RAP.hlp' - 'Adding Classes and Properties via RTTI'.
    In addition you could create a RAP pass-through function.

    Do the users have permission to write to the disk?

    Yes. Also note that the files are NOT read-only.

    Some datasets can be 'unidirectional'. Will this help? Or rather, can RB
    operates properly with Unidirectional datasets ?

  • Chris you are right! Alex I am sorry I did missing it!!

    My problem is I do not have to specify the name of report!

  • Hi Taticus,

    you must have overlooked Alexander's solution!

    The caption assignment should be
    frmRpt.ppLblFaxFrom.caption := mTempText;

    If you look at the form you'll see that the label is an ob…
  • I just read this section (Page 83-85) and that show how to make a

    label that hold person's name who's faxing) outside of report. I am

  • Hi Taticus,

    what is the error?

    regards,
    Chris Ueberall;

  • OK, OK, I've just read your tech-tips news group. Guess I'm gonna have to
    wait for the graph review...

  • On further inspection It appears to be ieditcha.dcu that is missing from the
    installation, is this a cruel limitation of the evaluation, something I've
    missed or a bug?

    Any feedback would be great!

  • We checked everything in the white paper you sent us but we are using only
    the design application (with really very little code) as described in your
    tutorial "Building an End-User Reporting Application). We added the ppCTWiz

  • Hi Cherryl,

    Upgrade to 6.03. There was a bug like this in 6.01. Also, if they don't
    have a default printer installed on their machine, they may get this error.

  • Wow,

    this was the fastest supportreply I ever got. Thank you very much for this.
    But in fact there is a little misunderstanding. We do not have actually
    3 pairs of ID and Memofields. It is simpler.

    Imagine this:
  • Thanks for the assist. That solved everything.

    I completely forgot about the TXtraDev unit for the PDF file output. Also,
    I thought I had set the components to export in the "Print To File Setup"

  • No. I was assuming that the RB rich text component would just print the rich
    text including the image. I can't imagine how I would use the IP Richtext
    engine in the process of RB reporting.
