It was a HP DeskJet 940 (cse?). I recommended he get the latest drivers and
haven't heard back from him. I always hate recommending that because they
think it is a cop-out on my part :-(

It is only happening with a few (and a very few at that) users, I have asked
him what printer he is using, he hasn't replied yet. We have a lot of users

John:
Is it only with certain drivers/printers, or is every printer slow?

The "report" is just simply a bitmap from a dbimage. There is nothing else
in the report except for the tppdbimage component. It prints fine it just
takes 2 - 3 minutes per page to print.

I didn't look at your code, but could it be the printer driver? ie will the
same report print okay with one printer and not another?

Eudge:
Make the reports child sub reports of the main report. Right click over the
second one and shift-relative it to the first one.

Look through my prior posts, searching for 'TppSubReport'.

Yes I would be very interested. Where can I get those examples. Please feel
free to email them to lmiller@rescorsoft.com if that is easier.

I have posted code snippets of what I do. Users can print any of a number of
reports. All are saved to paradox files--no defined report is in the EXE at

Yes...the right value (7,435,836 items count) when doing a total record

These may seem like a seriously dumb questions but I'll ask anyway...
Is the .width property wide enough or is it set to autosize?

To answer your question: "Does the count print zero or is it short one

An other thing is using OnCalc instead of a DBCalc will put more process on
the system. Right????

I have a count(*) in the Summary footer that should return the number of
record (total) display on the report. it retrun 40 record instead of around
7 millions.
I'm already looking into to use a TppVariable instead of DBCalc.
Can we have more exact error message? Try to delete all the dcu's of the
label component.

Hi Davide,
I've experienced the same problem too.I got the idea that it has to do
with color depth of the images, although I didn't test it deeply enough.
The thing is that with less color depth (16 or 256 colors) it wor…I have tried to set Direct Draw property in both ways, but the problem
persist.
The image is printed when I start the print from the preview in design mode,
so is not a printer problem.
Set Property Visible True (right Mouse)
I've no problems with images.
It works, thanks.
On the ppReport component set the Device type to Printer.
Hi Jim
Set Summary new Page is false (I will have the Summary on last Page bottom
(above the last items), not on a new page.)
I'm sure that this has changed from version 5.x to 6.x.
I visited some customers and they w…and for my problem which is it the solution?
Thanx.
See Stefano this is the same problem (exists for a longer time (maybe from V
6)) i recognized and described. RB Foot/Summary depending on visible or not
calculates wrong. see my posting from Erich Rieder 23.3.2002.
…i followed the step by step replacement of the RB with Infopower support.
i work in design time to preview. but can't work during run time.

Hi Andy,
Place the detail components on a region, which has the 'keep together'
funtionality.
