Server Trial install over Enterprise licenced

edited December 2003 in Server
Hi

I want to evaluate Server Edition, but I want to check first that it is safe
to install the trial version of Server over an existing (and fully working)
copy of Enterprise. Much time would be lost if I had to reinstall lots of
stuff to get my Delphi+RB projects working (and fully licenced) again.

Any thoughts?

Regards

Stuart

ReportBuilder Server Edition includes RB Enterprise. It will install RB
    Server AND RB Enterprise.

If possible install the RB Server Trial on a separate machine. Otherwise you
will need to re-install your registered version of RB Enterprise after
    evaluating RB Server.

    Hi Nard

    That's what I thought. Ugh!

I guess I'll have to wait until my client makes his decision and I (we) can
afford to buy the server licences. Either that or wait until things get
really, really quiet here so that I can install Delphi + other stuff on
another machine. Too little time, too many things to do.

    Regards

If you have Delphi 6 and Delphi 7 installed and are primarily using one of
them, you might consider installing RB Server Edition into the other. That
    would not be conflict.

    Hi Nard

Never mind. I've already bought my copy. We'll see about the other
    copies/licences after evaluation.
