I have added a 200% zoom button to my Preview form, but on some systems it
generates an Out of Resources error. Is there some way to determine
available resources beforehand so I could disable the button on those
systems where it's not likely to work?

I can't answer your question specifically.... however, I would
comment that if you are that close to running out of resources
you may have a problem anyway? I find that I have to be sure
to avoid auto-creates of forms and make sure I get rid of
them when I'm done in order to keep this "resource" thing under
control!
