date's in autosearch fields.

edited October 2002 in Server
All our computers (database server, webserver, clients) use the dateformat
(DD/MM/YYYY).

when I use date's in autosearch fields the following happens:

1) with a client report I can only enter a date with the format
(MM/DD/YYYY). All other dateformats are rejected

2) with an ASP app when I enter (MM/DD/YYYY) it processes (DD/MM/YYYY) it
switches days and months. Whe I then press the search button again the
search dialog pop's up and shows (DD/MM/YYYY).
When I the press search it processes (MM/DD/YYYY)! When I the press the
search button it has switched again...

I found out that when I put the regional datformat on the webserver to
    (MM/DD/YYYY) this problem is solved.

But now there is a new one.

When I put two (2) date autosearch fields it processes only the first
    (wrong).

Example: show all data where date >= '03/31/2002' and date <= '07/31/2002'.

    It processes date = '03/31/2002'.

    (This is an ASP application)

I can duplicate the problem here and will research it further to get it
    fixed.

As a work around you can use the SQL Between operator. It will produce the
    appropriate results.

I'll post a follow message here when I get this issue resolved.

This is fixed for the next maintenance release.

For the current release either use the Between search operator or e-mail
    support@digital-metaphors.com and request a patch.
