I'm using the gnostice export components and whenever i'm printing to a device (Excel/PDF etc) the Report.Device type is always set to Printer. Is this a gnostice issue or is this a problem with report builder? I'm using 10.06.
You should be able to define the default device used using the Report.DeviceType property. You will however need to be sure to use the correct device names Gnostice uses.
For instance, with the native RB PDF device. Setting AllowPrintToFile to True and setting the DeviceType equalt to "PDF", the print dialog will load up with the Print To File check box checked and PDF selected as the device.
