Reprint Title Band on Subsequent Pages

edited October 2013 in Subreports
Hello Nico

I think I already know the answer to this but thought I would ask in
case you know of a workaround.

Using RBE12

I have the main report grouped by a data field, and am using the group
header for that to display information about the main report on every page.

I then have a sub report in the detail band which prints a set of
pictures along with some associated data in columns set to left to right
traversal. I've used the title band of the sub report to create a title
(just a label and a box) for the sub report before the data appears.

Everything is working perfectly until the sub report has enough data to
move to the next page, where predictably I loose my title band (as it
will only print once).

Can you think of a way I can get this title band to print on subsequent
pages if the data for the sub reports moves onto another page. As the
sub report is set in columns I can't use the usual group headers for this.

Not sure if there is one - but if you know of a way to do this I'd be
very grateful.

Thanks in advance

Rod North

    Hi Rod,

From your description, it sounds like you need two headers for each
page. This could be done by either splitting the current group header
using regions or creating another group (on the same field) and using
its group header band as the second header.

Then the detail band of the main report will only contain the columned
subreport and the second header will appear above it on every page.

Many Thanks Nico - works perfectly.

I didn't mention the other sub reports - but the customer only wanted to
control the title of the first sub report, so have coded around the others.

    Great support as always.

    Regards

    Rod
