ReportBuilder traverses the data as it is given when generating a report. If you connect the same dataset to a subreport that is connected to the main report, the subreport will start the traversal process and the cursor position for the main report will be lost. You will need to create separate queries for each subreport you have in your RB report in order to obtain the correct output.
