Jim,
It is the trial version of RB7 that I have, and it does not appear in the
list of installed applications in the control panel/add-remove programs.

Jim,
I have installed RB7 in a custom directory and it does not work :

Jim,
The path was good in the environment options.
I copied the whole Lib dir to another place and added this path in the Lib
paths but the error message is the same.

I am sorry , I know what are you talking now, and I set the visible property
of tppDBPipeLine controls false and it works great. You save my day .. I
will go for a break now.........
Until next time bye....

Bhoj,
all data pipelines on your form that have the property 'Visible' set to 'True' are visible to the user.
I don't know why you mean having no control over the pipeline.
It doesn't matter when you set them to not visible, but… -
Hi Chris,
Thanks for the reply but where did I put that code because its not me who
has a control over the pipeline or let me put it this way, Where do I
write that code after load the report from database/File or where?
Do I … -
Hi Bhoj,
you can use the property 'Visible' of the data pipeline component.

I should mention, this works with D7/RB7 but not with D5/RB7.

That's the problem. Since RB 7 i'm not able to compile without runtime
packages. I'm using the standard RB installation without modification.
No problems with RB 6.03. … -

Hi Don,
no problem, they even could reside in the same partition.

Contact James Waler at www.waler.com. He's the Extradevices developer which
is a third party product for RB, so the question should be ask there.
Best of luck

Hi Jim,

Thanks
One more question, just to confirm (because I have a lot of reports
distributed on my clients),
do the report templates saved on a database field, load and print correctly
from RB7 without saving them before?
I think this post should be more appropiate in more specific newsgroup (such
as borland.public.delphi.sqlservers if you are using Delphi) as your post
provided no idea of what programming language(s) are you using.
"Sharma" ???…Jim,
I look at your source code and see all the ground work is there. I was
wonder why it wasn't included?
Vinh,
Sorry about the repost.... Just got anxious.
Yep, The latest build fixed it. I misinterpreted the email I received about
RB7 for Delphi 5 and 7. I didn't think anything had changed for D6. Thanks
for your help..

Sorry I am using Delphi 6 patch 2. Report builder 7 standard edition.

I think you misunderstood my question;
The original report runs fine as an executable. When converted to a DLL I
get the following error:
Class name "TraTppPrinterSetupRTTI" already exist.
Hi Tom,
create a BPL, BPLs are DLLs that can work with Delphi components.

The property is there (type Word), so it sounds like you have a corrupt
installation.

Hi there..
Can anyone point me to the right direction then? I haven't used
ReportBuilder as extensive as most of you and any links to documentations
that would show me how to hard code my own text file device will be of great
he…Any suggestions then on what I should do? Any patches for 4.07 so that it
would recognize DBMemos, or just upgrade to a higher version?
Anyone else have any ideas aside from upgrading?
Thanks much,
