  • Lauchlan:

Use 1 Region for each horizontal area you need to size - maybe even 1
region per memo control. Size the memo control to only hold 1 line & set the
memo stretch property to true. The memo will expand within the …
  • Hi

I am using regions anyway, to organise my report components. But if I have
say a dbmemo in the region which for the sake of argument is spaced to take
up the bottom half of the region, it still takes that same space regardles…

  • Luchan:

You need to use a Region component to accomplish your spacing. Region
components contain memos, graphics, etc. & dynamically expand to meet the
    space requirements of their components.

    In your…

  • I will do some testing with this customer and see what we can solve. We will
look at the printer driver & see if it is different.

    Thank you.

  • From MY earlier post:

It sounds to me like the print drivers on the two machines may be different
versions, which would explain why it works for you and not for the customer.

    and

    I understand that the b…
  • Jim:

I appreciate your reply. However, the bottom margin is not the issue and
your reply did not answer the question I asked. We allow the user to set all
    margins ( bottom, left, right,top ).

    I still need to k…
  • We regularly have problems with the bottom margin on Epson and HP Inkjets if
we have designed the report and tested it using any brand of laser printer.
Our solution is to increase the bottom margin and it works all the time.

  • Yes, a grid component is what I am looking for as well as a rotating label.
I do use a 3rd party grid/labels but it is extremely buggy and doesn't do
your great product justice! People look at it and think it is the
    underlining repor…
  • Hi Nard,

A really useful addition which is the only thing I can think of that is not
in RB is the ability to create labels on any angle and the ability to create
    a table layouts easily.

I know these have been done by …
  • Thanks, so if i have >1 pages in my report i need define Printcount for
each of them and calculate PrintCount value for lastpage?

May be you can give me sample algorithm for solving problem? Certainly
    somebody solved proble…

  • In Delphi's help, look up TQuery.DataSource for an explanation of how
automatic master detail can work. TwwQuery descends from TQuery. This is
also covered in the Report Builder Developer's guide under Report Tutorials:

  • Jim,
Thanks for the explanation. For the future, where would I find this info in
    the manual?
I have made the purchase (Pro) but don't know my way around the helps/manual
    well enough yet apparently.

  • I also use InfoPower (3000) along with Report Builder 6 with Delphi 6.
Report Builder is the way to go! While this is not really a report builder
issue itself, I'll explain the steps you should take:
Get rid of the onscroll event in t…
  • Sorry, My mistake.

    William

  • There are several ways to go with that. Print using a generic text only
driver, and set up your report just right, and it will work. There is an
FAQ on the tech-tips newsgroup under the category Printing: Printing to Dot
    Matrix Prin…
  • Is is safe to assume it is on the ToDo List?
  • Did anyone ever "solve" this problem? I actually expected
to find built-in support for rotation (at least at 90, 180,
and 270) for labels and dbtext with alignment at a minimum.
    Thanks.
  • Did Paul get a solution here? We need to do the same sort of thing for a
customer packing ticket that includes a coupon at the end. We are using
RichText for formatting and wanted to rotate it sideways.

    Thanks,

    Rick…
  • Nico,
I have spent some time looking at this and also have now spent money
talking to a Tech support engineer. The problem is that the RotatedText
add-on does not allow word wrap or aligning of the text. So again it fails

  • Nico,
Any other suggestions? The RotatedText component is not an option for
    us?

    Paul
  • Unfortunetly the rotated text components are not an option. I was wondering
    if there were others.

    Thanks
  • I don't think I can reproduce this behavior but I will try. One thing I
didn't put in my original message was that the value I'm totaling on is a
value from a subreport. I've got a subreport on my detail band that only
    has a summary…
  • Well all the calculations are done in a ppvariable.oncalc event so if I
disconnect the events nothing will be calculated.

  • Thanks for the help... you guys are great!
  • Thanks for the response. I got to looking for the DisplayValues property
and found that all I have to do is to put in the "Display Format" property
(in the Object Inspector) "False;True" or "Sent;Received" or what ever my

  • Ok, this is not a bug. So, how can I reset the device list ?

    TppArchiveReader.Reset and TppArchiveReader.ResetDevices don't work !

    Thanks
