why not do a
try
Screen.Cursor := crHourGlass;
frmReportViewer.ShowModal;
finally
Screen.Curson := crDefault;
frmReportViewer.Free;
end;

Hi Nico,
I've got RB 6 ent,
Firebird 1.5,
Delphi 6 Ent.
I can see "Accessing data" in the Viewer's status bar, but cursor does not
change to hour glass.
Cheers,
Dmitry

Typo, subject was 'HourGlass is not showing up'

Ther is not a code in the rap... my report is simple
one code bar component y the detal band...and that's it...
-
No, I'm not printing multiple copies of the same report, I'm only have a
detal band with a bar code inside...
The papaer with the Labels looks like that (only one column).

Thanks, I was just trying to avoid the extra-work

Anyway, I convinced my customer to buy TeeChart Pro.
hey carlos,
I have the same issue, so what I did was have a method on my form that
builds the graph for me.
You do not need to connect to a dataset, you can manually send the data to
the graph.
This is the …Thanks Nico. I'm curious about the technical reason of this design time
limitation. Can you explain that to me?
Actually it imposes that I cannot create any TDBChart with RB in design time
so, at last for me, its a major limitat…Sorry, its working at runtime, how can i make this work at design-time, must
i create a own package or include in into a existing Rb package ???
Totally no problem with D or RB but in most of the cases i can't reply to
what a RB-Support guy posts.
My outlook express says can not resolve .... (... being the name of the
newsgroup).
Any idea what this might be ?????
Nico,
I've tried out the demo, worked fine, now i'm creating my first derrived
draft version, quite similar, but when looking at the language tab i don't
see my category appearing and when i try to rap-use my function the

But, i've never written passthru functions, so i'll might get back to you in
a few days.
If there is a double post, and there is a response, please post to this one
too, still can't see my first post on this issue.
I have try this but the result is still 'HK$34.34', if replace the '$' with
'S', then it will shown S34.34 as expected.
I set the displayformat property of a dbtext field to $,0.00 but the output
always is 'HK$' instead of '$' only, I think this may be due to regional
settings of OS, but is there any method to override it and use '$' only
Ok, found the problem.
I used a value of a parameter. The parameters of the report still existed
but had again the names ppParapeter1 ... 5. When renamind the parameters to
what they should have been named i got the error that p…Just to follow up ... I purchased ExtraDevices last night. It appears the
version I was sent wasn't the latest version. Jim Waler sent me the latest
version this morning. Fantastic!
Together these products add so much value to m…neve rmind. I figured it out.

Nico,
My problem is that when I add fields to the database (new fields to a table)
that need to be printed those fields are not present in my pipeline. I would
like reportbuilder to add those fields to the pipeline in designtime…Nico,
I will try upgrading, but in the meantime the AV was traced to the line
if (ppPrinters.PrinterInfo[cbxPrinters.Items[liIndex]].IsLocal) then
Was this line known to cause the AV that was fixed in 7.02?
Nico,
Works wonderfull, Thx
Thanks Nico.
Could you point me in the right direction? It appears that on a
preview from the report explorer if you have autosearch criteria then
procedure TdaQueryDataView.ReportGetAutoSearchValuesEvent is called
which r…"absolutely necessary fields" are the fields defined in the user
database and hence put into the report builder dictionary!
As a temp work around for the end user is there a way I can avoid
CreateAvailableFieldList on a preview?…Nico,
It is not the SQL itself. I can run with ASTA and see that there is
no SQL issued during the 20 second pause.
Tracing through it a bit it seems to be in:
procedure TdaSQL.CreateAvailableFieldList;
