printing control characters

How can I print control characters to a printer such as chr(0)?
In this case I canot use the Epson driver which has a control font. so the
problem is that I cannot set a onGetTExt event to set the text :=
+chr(0)+

the chr(0) terminates the string early.

    Hi Paul,

    Unfortunately we do not have a good way to add ESC codes to individual text
    objects. This is something that we have listed to research for a later
    release of ReportBuilder. Take a look at the following example, perhaps it
    will help.
