  • Today when I was testing again, the report runs slow whether the ppDBRichText expands or contracts when Stretch is checked. Sorry for all the confusion.

  • It took me quite some time to figure this one out. Turns out it was not the "Rich Text" stuff slowing things down, but the size of the TppDBRichText component. I display 1-4 lines in this box for every record, and had it sized in the report template…

    The DirectDraw didn't help. The poor resolution is showing in the report, as well as in the pdf that gets generated when I create an email. I am "stretching" a large BMP file down to ppImage.
