Hi John,
you need a two-pass report when you need the total pagecount. The total pagecount is unknown until the whole report is generated (or has finished the first pass).

Hi Chris,
No, I don't create all my forms on startup : I create 5 or 6 forms at
startup. And all my reports are in forms.
My application contains approximately 500 forms including 30 with RB report.
Cheers,
Hi Laurent,
are you creating all froms at startup?
Do you store the report templates in forms?
(see tech-tip 'Minimize Size of Application .EXE')

I have a datapipeline. The datasource linked to this datapipeline has two related properties:
rangebegin: rbfirstrecord
rangeend: relastrecord
help me…Look at the 'RangeBegin' and 'RangeEnd' settings of your pipeline--what are
they set to?

rather than using method 'OnGetText' you should use 'OnCalc' to calculate the value.

What version of RB are you using? There is a known issue in 6 that has been
addressed.

Hi Nico
The 'look Ahead' property didn't work for me since it calculates the sum
including that page. I needed a total that shows the same total at the
footer of the prior page. I managed to do that with two variables and
