However FCanceReport property or OnCreatePreviewer event do not exist in my
version - 6.02 Enterprise.
Is there some other way to cancel report if there is no data? Basically I

I don't have Delphi up but try setting a flag in OnNoData (FCancelReport :=
True) then in the OnCreatePreviewer post a WM_CLOSE message to the
previewer.

Instead of deleting columns, I set the CaptionVisible = false and set all
necessary Borders = False so I managed to get the output I need, barring the

You can do this with child style sub reports. Drop them in the detail band
and set them shift-relative to one another in the order that you want.

Well, let's explain this now with a little more time.
On my report, i am trying to print a list of students. Each student have a

Turn on the page style band (Report/Page Style in the designer editor). Make
it the size of the page and create the lines.

I am not a report builder master, but I can give you a light
1. You can costumize the designer to your app. You can make it the same as
you have to design your reports. Yes, it's very powerfull
2. I think the performance is not … -
Actually, I found that it had created an empty query in the Data tab of the
report designer(somehow!), therefore the SQL error - works fine after I
removed it.
We will be moving to RB 7.03 shortly anyway.

Maybe the Band type of your subreports. Did you try changing it? I think you
can use child reports, or section I can't remember, but I think it's the way

I am stucked to the problem. I turned autosize off and sized the
component manually to the size I want it to be on the paper which is in
pixels 279x62. The image is 689x183, but a resolution of 294.

well, I turend autosize off. If I also turn off stretch then the image is
too big on the screen. And I assume that stretching the image has some bad
impact on the quality.

but I create an image with a resolution more than 96 dpi the dpi doesn't
affect to the reportbuilder. The image simply gets bigger on the report (as
long as Autosize is turned on).

There is a problem showing images on Report Builder. You can use WMF files,
I think it's Windows Metafile, instead of using JPEG, or BMP or whatever you
are using.

We are using ReportBuilder 7.03 with Delphi 5 Enterprise Edition.
I try it with a simple Report, and if the problem continues to exist I tell
you.
Today its not posible to try it, but I will try it tomorrow.

scripts. The heart of a report is an image field, right, which can be copied
using SQL without problems AFAIK.

It seems I was too quick, the problem seems to have moved...
I now have a situation where the Masterreport and Subreport are out of sync.
The SubReport consquently is one record behind, any suggestions ?Thanks Nard !
