Sending Report By Fax - Questions

edited December 2010 in General
Hi

I need to send a report to a fax machine when a customer does not have a
printer.

Does anyone have any recommendations as to a suitable Delphi (2010)
component which can be used to send the fax? I have seen references to KD
Tele Tools and this seems to work (with one Line Fault issue).

KD Tele Tools requires the fax to be b/w of a specific size and in .tif
format. From previous newsgroup messages I see the way to set the width,
but how, with 12.03, do I create the .tif file?

Thanks in advance.

I would just rely on the user being able to select the built in windows
fax printer which the user can choose to print to in the abscence of
    a'regular' printer.

    Hi Philip,

ReportBuilder does not currently fully support automatically exporting or
printing faxable reports. It is possible to export a report to a Tiff file
and fax it however it requires a few settings to be made. Please contact me
via email (support@digital-metaphors.com) if you would like to pursue this
further. I have worked with a couple other customers on this with success.

Take a look at the following article on exporting Tiff files with
ReportBuilder. I recommend using the LibTiffDelphi method if you would like
    to create faxable Tiff files.

A native "Fax device" is a feature we would like to add for a later release
    of ReportBuilder.

    Hi

Unfortunately this application will be running on a lights out server so
    it has to be automatic.
