Sub-Report Header band printing relative to overflow

edited September 2002 in Subreports
Using D5, RB 6.03

I have a report which contains 2 'Summary' subreports. The first sub report
does not overflow and exhibits the behavior I expect. The second subreport
is the problem.

It contains a header band, detail band, and a summary band.
The detail band has several regions, 2 of which contain a single memo.
When the memos are small and don't cause an over flow, the subreport is one
page, and the header band does not print on the 'paper' area (on the preview
screen, I can see the header off the paper margins)

When the memo overflows, the header band prints correctly on the first page,
but exhibits the same behavior(printing off the paper margins) on the second
page.

Thanks for your time.

For a subreport set to pbChild, the header/footer are not supported. A child
type subreport prints on its parent's page space and therefore behaves more
    like a memo.

    Options:

    1. Use Title/Summary band.

    2. Use GroupHeader/GroupFooter. If you need to repeat the header when a page
breaks then then you can create a group and set
    Group.ReprintOnSubsequentPage to True.

I guess I left one detail out....
the subreport type is set to pbSection...... Does this change your
previous suggestions, or should I pursue using the group header and footer

Section subreports should print headers and footers. Since you are using
6.03, there is a fix which is included in RB 7 that addresses an issue where
the band prints off the margins. It might be related to that fix. Please
download RB 7 trial edition to test your report. Be sure to backup your RB
version 6.03 installation exe first. If it works in RB 7, then you'll need
to upgrade. You can also use a group in 6.03 if you can't upgrade at this
    time.

    Upgraded to RB 7.
The pbSection Subreport still prints off the margins
