If you create a crosstab in the report, remember to disconnect the report from the same datapipeline as the crosstab's datapipeline. The crosstab has its own data traversal engine. The entire crosstab will generate inside the generation of one band. If the report is connected to the same pipeline, then there will be many detail bands generated and hence, an entire crosstab will be generated for every record in the dataset, which you don't necessarily want.
