Composite Reports

edited September 2001 in General
Hi all,
I'm not sure if this is the palce tho ask this question but I'll give it a
try.

How do I create composite reports? That is, in the same report, how do I get
two seperate formats?

Thanks in advance.

Mihiri.

You can either change the properties of components in the report, or create
two sets of components in the report. With two components, you can toggle
their visible property to only show one or the other. You can place many
components in a region and set the region's visible property. Another option
is to use multiple subreports and set the visiblity of them as well.

The composite report, like in quick reports, can be accomplished using
ReportBuilder's subreport component. The subreport has a print behavior
property which should be set to Section style. This will cause each
subreport to begin printing on a new page and have page headers and page
footers. There are some demos in the installed RBuilder\Demo which show
using multiple section style subreport to print multiple reports as one
report. See demos # 51 & 52 in the main reports demo dproject for an
    example.
