WebTier Progress Page

edited April 2003 in Server
Hello,

I would like to display a certain web page until the report is ready for
viewing (i.e. Please wait while the report is generated...). Is this
possible to do such a thing when accessing web tier via a URL? Any
suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

Tracy McClarnon

I will try to create an example and post a download link here when it is
    available.

Download the following, try it out and let me know. If you need it to work
with autosearch, then e-mail support@digital-metaphors.com and request a
patch - I encountered a couple of issues while working on this example and
    had to patch the code.

The approach I used displays a progress page that, upon loading in the
client browser, sends the report request to the web application so that the
    report willl be generated.

The progress page includes an animated gif, however I noticed that the gif
animation stops as soon as the request is issued..
