Report ignores text file name

Hi,

Using version 22.

In the report I have

TextFileName = 'C:\somepath\somefilename.csv'
DefaultFileDeviceType = 'TextFile'

However - when i go to print to file it always defaults the name to somefilename.txt - can anyone help?

Hi Jonathan,

I am having difficulty recreating this behavior. The text file device (exporter) is specifically designed to allow any file extension added.

In my testing with RB 22.02, setting the above properties in code and in the object inspector at design-time or runtime allowed me to export as "somefilename.csv".

If possible, please create a simple example demonstrating this behavior and send it to support@digital-metaphors.com in .zip format or give me the exact steps needed to recreate it here.
