access violoation in GDS32.dll

edited June 2004 in DADE
Hi, i am using windowsXP, delphi 6, ReportBuilder 7 and Firebird 1.5.
i am creating reports in RAP through the Report Explorer loaded into my
delphi app.
I get an access violation in gds32.dll about 90% of the time when i
create/edit report when i am closing my exe and it is trying to save to
report back to my database as a Blob. This only just started happening
about 1 week ago when i got a new machine and reinstalled everything. i
first thought that firebird was playing up, but i have fully removed it from
my system and reinstalled it about 5 times now. it is also now happening to
on my workmates machine since he reinstalled everything at the same time as
I. So we have half ruled out a bum install of our software.
Has anybody seen this problem before or know what could be causing it?
Attatched are small screenshots i took of the error message...

Cheers
Adam.

This is not a known issue, nor is it an issue that we can reproduce here.

    1. Try updating XP with the latest patches, video drivers, and printer
    drivers.

    2. Try performing the same test with the RBuilder\Demos\EndUser\Report
Explorer example. If that works properly, try more incrmental testing, such
as a test using the RBuilder\Demos\EndUser Database\Interbase examples. Try
using Interbase app rather than using Firebird. (We have many customers
successfully using Firebird, however I suppose there are different versions
    of Firebird in use).

    3. If you are not using the latest release, RB 7.03, send an email to
info@digital-metaphors.com with your full registration information including
serial number and inquire about updating.
