XLS Export and graphics not fixed positions

edited June 2013 in Devices
Hello,

we are currently using RB14.08.

Not long ago we changed our Excel export to use TppXLSReportDevice
rather then using TppXLSDataDevice. The exports are looking much better now.

One user reported that he had some horzontal lines in his report that
were exported as graphic lines. However these lines were exported at the
correct position, they were not fixed to any colum or row in the
resulting Excel sheet.

So if rows were added to or deleted from the spreadsheet the graphical
lines stayed at the place where they were exported and did not follow
the original row (it was shifted to another place because rows had been
added)

Is it possible to fix the exported graphical lines to a specific row
(and/or column) position when exporting them to Excel? Manually you can
do that but is it possible while exporting?

Thanks in advance,
Ralf

    Hi,

Any news or info on this topic?

Or will V15 make it possible to fix the positions of the horizontal
lines in the exported Excel sheel to their cells?

    Thanks in advance,
    Ralf

    Ralph,

Thanks for posting a reminder on this. I had it on my list to research, then
got buried with RB 15 release activities. I have now researched this and
will add it for RB 15.01.
