Black Images

edited January 2007 in Devices
Hi.

I am using Delphi 6, Interbase 7.1 and Report Builder 6.03

I have a number of reports that have either the TppImage or TppDBImage
component on it to display a photo.
The photo is saved in the database in a blob field in JPEG format. The
photo is loaded in and out of the database by means of a TMemoryStream.

The problem I am getting is that when printing a report random photos
will be printed as a black square.
I am printing on a black and white HP LaserJet 5000 Series PCL6.
You cannot predict what photo will be printed that way.

On the preview screen all the photos are displayed correctly.

Any help or ideas on why this occurs would be much appreciated.

Thanks.

Stuart White.

    Hi Stuart,

This issue was solved for the most part for RB 7.04. I would suggest
downloading a trial edition of ReportBuilder 10.05 for Delphi 6 and testing
with that. Be sure to back up an templates you currently have saved before
loading them in the new version and that you have your current RB version
install file available if you wish to revert back.

    Hi Nico.

Thanks for the info. 10.05 works like a charm.

My company would not like to upgrade to 10.05 as it will cost money and
this is the last release of the software before it gets rewritten into a
web application. We do have a licensed copy of 7.00 though.

Is version 7.04 for Delphi 6 still available and if it is how do I get
    hold of it?

    Thanks.

    Stuart.
