Professional Edition of Export Devices for ReportBuilder was released
on 2 December 2002! Take a look at some of the hot new features of
the professional edition!
New features in PRO Edition:
* PRO version: The first version of PsRBExportDevices was Version 1.x.
The new Professional Edition is a highly enhanced version called
"PsRBExportDevices PRO".
* New XHTML format: Unlike old-style HTML pages, valid, well-formed
XHTML documents can easily be "transported" to wireless devices,
Braille readers and other specialized web environments. Moreover,
XHTML's insistence on clean, rule-based markup helps to avoid the
kind of errors that can make web pages fail even in traditional
browsers like Microsoft Internet Explorer, Netscape Navigator,
and Opera Software's Opera browser. XHTML documents can utilize
applications (e.g. scripts) that rely on either the HTML Document
Object Model or the XML Document Object Model.
* Font Charset Support in PDF: PDF now supports True Type Font
characters from different font character sets. This shall now enable
Chinese, Russian, Greek, Eastern European and other character sets.
* Font Embedding in PDF: All the used fonts can now be embedded into
the PDF document. This shall enable the PDF file to be viewed
properly even if the font is not present in the system.
* Encryption in PDF: The generated PDF Document can now be encrypted.
40 bit and 128 bit standard encryption is currently supported.
* Viewer Preferences: The PDF document can now contain various opening
display options. It represents a set of viewer-level options for
displaying the PDF document.
* COMPLETELY RE-ENGINEERED Excel device.
* Images, Shapes and Lines in Excel: You can now include Images,
Shapes and Lines from the report into the exported document. The
images can be exported either as Bitmap or as Windows Metafile.
* Font support in Excel: Excel now supports more than 4 Fonts.
Excel now supports Font Styles like Bold, Italic, Underline,
Strikeout. Charset information is now encoded into the excel
document, enabling proper display of characters in all charset
range.
* RichText: Control inclusion/exclusion of RichText content. RichText
contents can be encoded either as Image or as PlainText.
* Report as Excel Workbook: Option to encode each page of the
report into separate excel sheets in a single Workbook or all
the pages in a single excel sheet.
* Column Spacing in Excel: Set a custom line spacing between Columns
of text. Options range from Actual, OneBlank, TwoBlank...
* Table of Contents in PDF, HTML and XHTML: Table of contents can
now be included in the generated PDF, HTML or XHTML document.
* Hyperlinks in PDF, HTML and XHTML: Internet addresses in the report
can now be converted to hyperlinks in the generated PDF document.
* Document Preferences in HTML and XHTML: HTML and XHTML devices now
support various document preferences like Disabling RightClick,
Disabling Copying, Automatically maximizing the Browser Window.
