Multiple RDBMS in one end-user report?

edited October 2016 in End User

I have data in an MS-SQL database, and a Sybase SQL database.

The MS-SQL data is dependent on the Sybase data.

(MS-SQL contains inventory cycle count data, Sybase has master item
data).

I'm looking to give the end users a report solution that will connect
to both ms-sql and sybase sql - and use the built-in query builders.

It doesn't appear as though I can specify two databases in "Database
Settings".

Can you suggest how I might manage this?

TIA.

Cheers,
EdB

    Hi Ed,

Each dataview in DADE (Data workspace) contains its own data settings.
The data settings can be changed for each dataview created including the
    DB and DB plugin.

In your case, simply create one dataview with the data settings set for
your SQL Server DB and then create another with the settings set for
    your Sybase DB.
