How to use combo box filled with select query for value selection in AutoSearch dialog?

Hi,
I would like to allow to my end-user to specify some select query and later
somehow use it in combo box (or list box) in AutoSearch dialog to assign
certain value (from the select query) to the AutoSearch field. Moreover user
sees one value but assigns another (Like in: sees product_name but assigns
product_id).
Is that possible to implement?

Yes it is possible to code your own custom autosearch form. Here is an
example for RB 6. The one for RB 7 hasn't been updated since the interface
section changed for custom autosearch dialog in ppForms.pas, but I'll work
on getting one ready soon.

This is a bit off-topic, but:

we created a autosearch-dialog wich presents the end user a date-time
picker, if the field is of type date. Wouldn?t it be nice for DM to assembla
a collection of such snippets?

We do provide a custom autosearch demo which uses a date time picker in our
installation under the Autosearch demos folder.
