Exported Excel File Columns Out Of Alignment

I am using ReportBuilder Enterprise 7.04 with Delphi 7. When I need to
export the report to an Excel file, I use TExtraDevices.

In the screen view
(http://www.ctsoftware.com.my/ctsimages/rep2screen.png), the columns
are aligned but in the Excel file
(http://www.ctsoftware.com.my/ctsimages/rep2excel.png), some columns
are not aligned.

If I were to upgrade to ReportBuilder 15 with its native Excel output
feature, would the column alignment problem go away?

Are the report template files from RB 7.04 usable in RB 15?

    Hi Frederick,

    Yes, the logic to align report components is very advanced for the
    built-in XLS device. It is very likely that upgrading will solve your
    problem.

    Yes, report templates created with RB 7 are fully compatible with RB 15.

    My suggestion would be to download a trial edition of RB 15.04 and
    perform some simple tests with your templates and data. If you have any
    issues, please let us know and we will help you resolve them as soon as
    possible.
