Application hangs using HP LaserJet M1319f MFP

edited April 2010 in Devices
We have an application compiled in Delphi 2007 using RB 10.08 This
application is widely distributed on W2K and WinXP systems and we are
getting things together to start supporting Windows 7.

On a Windows 7 system, and a HP LaserJet M1319f MFP is connected, our
application refuses to start. Unplug the USB cable and it immediately pops
up and works fine. Using 32 bit OS. Latest HP drivers.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Terry.

    Hi Terry,

We have not experienced any issues like this before. If you create a
minimal Delphi application with an empty report, do you still get the same
behavior? You might also try upgrading your version to 10.09 and see if
that helps the problem. Contact info@digital-metaphors.com with your serial
    number for upgrade instructions.

We did a remote debug and traced the call into the EnumPrint... WinAPI call
    in some ReportBuilder code.

It seems that the install for the HP drivers doesn't always work. We've
duplicated it on some systems, but the same setup on another computer works.
We'll take it up with HP.

    Terry.
