I am not completely sure how TExtraDevices handles Richtext components in ReportBuilder however it may be similar to the way the built-in PDF device did for versions earlier than 11. Basically when converting a Richtext component to an image, you loose a lot of of the quality that the original contained. I am unsure how TExtraDevices is exporting when setting the RichTextAsImage property to False.
If you would like the highest quality RTF output in your PDF files, I recommend taking a look at ReportBuilder 11.06. Now (using the built-in PDF device) all report components are exported with vector graphics. This retains all the "crispness" of the original components inside the PDF file. Please feel free to download a trial copy of RB 11.06 from our web site and test it to see if the output meets your needs.
